Introduction
Classifications is an app for managing the classifications that can be applied to the model elements in order to normalize and categorize detailed properties and processes according to different standards. Also, it is possible to create new classification (non-BIM based) that can be used for a different data processing in build.works.
These are the BIM classifications included in build.works:
- Omniclass
- Uniclass
- Uniformat
- NL/SfB
How to manage Classification app?
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Log in your build.works account.
2. On Account Launchpad, click on Reference Data in menu or scroll down on Launchpad.
3. Click on Classifications tile.
4. The master view of the app will open where you can browse all the tables of the BIM classifications systems and customized tables created under your account. To create a new table, click on Add button.
5. A pop-up window will open. Fill the mandatory fields and click on Save button.
Note
- Change Copy from existing switch to Yes to create a duplicate from an existing table.
6. To add a new classification item, first select the table and then click on Add button.
7. A pop-up window will open. Fill the mandatory fields and click on Save button.
8. The newly added item appears in the detail view.
9. If you select one of the default tables, its detail view opens where you can browse all the classifications items in hierarchal order.
Note:
- Default BIM Classifications cannot be edited or deleted.
